Early childhood is a critical learning period, during which time children develop eating habits that will influence their relationship with food for a lifetime. Conversely, early years will provide meals & snacks which foster a positive relationship with food by ensuring every student is provided with balanced nutritious hot meals & snacks based on Canada Food Guide lines; in addition, early years will choose & encourage foods lower in fat, sugar, salt & organic local products.
