Early childhood is a critical learning period when children develop eating habits that will shape their lifelong relationship with food. To nurture this, Early-Years will provide meals & snacks that foster and promote a positive relationship with food, by ensuring every child is provided with balanced, nutritious hot meals & snacks based on Canada Food Guide lines; in addition, Early-Years will choose & encourage foods lower in fat, sugar, salt & made with organic local products.
MONDAY
AM snacks : Multi grain cereal, Milk, Fruits.
Lunch: Turmeric rice with green beans, vegetables, Fruits and water/milk.
PM Snack: Gold-fish crackers, carrot sticks, bananas, and water.
TUESDAY
AM snacks : Whole wheat toast with butter, Apples, Raisins and Milk
Lunch: Sandwich, Cucumbers, Carrots, Orange & Apple slices and water/milk.
Pm Snack: Cheese crackers, Apple slices, Carrot sticks and water.
AM snacks : Whole wheat toast with butter, Apples, Raisins and Milk
